This Privacy Policy explains how GudBrief ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects your personal information when you use the GudBrief platform ("the Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide to Us

• Account Information: Email address, name, company name, and encrypted credentials.
• Brief Content: Text content, titles, and strategic data input into the workflow sections (Context, Goals, Audience, Tension, Message, Deliverables, Budget).
• Collaboration Data: Email addresses of team members or stakeholders you invite to review briefs.
• Feedback & Interactions: Comments left by you or your invited collaborators, and your responses to AI coaching suggestions.
• Payment Information: Billing details processed securely via Razorpay.

2.2 Information We Collect Automatically

• Usage Analytics: Navigation paths, feature engagement (e.g., brief finalization rates), and time spent on specific sections.
• Technical Logs: IP address, browser type, device operating system, and screen resolution to ensure UI/UX consistency.
• AI Interaction Logs: Token usage per brief, coaching trigger patterns, and acceptance/rejection of AI-generated suggestions.

3. How We Use Your Information

3.1 Service Delivery & Collaboration

We use your data to manage your account, store your briefs, and facilitate the Review & Feedback loop. This includes sending invitation emails to your team members and hosting real-time commenting threads within the application.

3.2 AI Coaching (The Brief Coach)

Your brief data is processed through the Anthropic Claude API to provide strategic coaching. This is an assistive feature designed to improve brief quality; the AI does not make final decisions for you.

3.3 Product Optimization

We use anonymized, aggregated data to refine our UI and feature sets. Individual brief content is never used to train our models or shared with other users.

4. Sharing & Disclosure

4.1 No Sale of Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or proprietary brief strategies to third parties.

4.2 Essential Service Providers

We share necessary data with the following sub-processors to power GudBrief:

• Anthropic: To generate AI coaching feedback (Brief content only).
• Supabase: For secure database hosting and user authentication.
• Razorpay: For PCI-compliant payment processing.
• Email Service Provider: To deliver invite links and feedback notifications to your team.

5. AI Data Protection & Privacy

Under our enterprise agreement with our AI providers, your proprietary brief data is never used to train global large language models. Your strategic insights remain your intellectual property. AI coaching is optional and triggered based on your interaction with the Service.

6. Data Security

• Encryption: We use TLS/SSL for data in transit and AES-256 encryption for data at rest.
• Budget Integrity: AI usage is tracked as a percentage of your plan to protect technical token data.
• Access Control: Only users with a unique, system-generated "Share Link" or authenticated account access can view specific brief content.

7. Your Rights & Retention

• Portability: You can export your finalized briefs as PDF or HTML at any time.
• Deletion: You may delete individual briefs or your entire account. Upon account deletion, all associated briefs and collaborator comments are permanently purged from our active database within 30 days.
